Town Government

An elected mayor and a four-member council govern the Town of Brentwood.  All representatives are elected at large.  Council meetings are held the third Monday of each month in the Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.  Brentwood residents are encouraged to attend.  Work sessions are scheduled on an as needed basis.

The mayor and Town Council is responsible for all ordinances, laws and resolutions necessary for the protection and promotion of the health, safety, comfort, and welfare of the residents of the town.  The Mayor and Council establish the policies and procedures, which govern the employees of the Town.

The Town Administrator, Lanny E. Mummert, manages the day-to-day operations of the town.  The Town Administrator may be contacted through the Town Office from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday at 301-927-7395.
