Brentwood Volunteer Fire Company

In 2004, the Brentwood, Mount Rainier, and Cottage City Volunteer Fire Departments consolidated their equipment into Bunker Hill Station located on Rhode Island Ave within Brentwood.  This station now serves the five communities:  North Brentwood, Brentwood, Mount Rainier, Colmar Manor, and Cottage City.  The Brentwood Volunteer Fire Department was organized in 1922 with 35 charter members and an old horse-drawn hook and ladder.  Ever since, they have provided the Town with dedicated fire suppression and medical support.

Ladies Auxiliary

Supports the fire department through fund raising efforts.  Also provides food and services to firemen during long-term engagements.

Brentwood Civic Association

A private group that plans civic events, community activities, and lobbies local government on behalf of the citizens.  They generally meet monthly in a local facility.  If you are interested in joining, submit your name, address, phone, and reason for joining to the President or Secretary care of 3404 Webster St., Brentwood, MD  20722.  A vote of the general membership at the following meeting will determine acceptance or denial of your application.

Senior Citizens Group

In 1969, this group started as an official senior club for social discussion.  Although the official club has since been dissolved, the local seniors still meet regularly on the first and third Wednesday of each month in the common room of the Brentwood Town Hall.
